Where to Fly your Kite

Modern kites are intended to be flown all year round. Smooth, steady winds are always the best, and onshore sea breezes are perfect - that's why you often see kites at the beach. Large open areas such as grassy parks and open fields also make great kite flying sites, but always check that the area you choose to fly in is clear of obstacles like buildings, trees, or hills - they can block the wind and create a wind shadow that will adversely affect the performance of your kite.
